As we know Cancer, in the last couple of years has been a major health issue in U.S and other parts of the world. 1 in 4 deaths in the U.S is due to cancer. In this Hub I will try my best to overview cancer for 2009. Even though, I am not a doctor.

Death rates are age-standardized to the 2007 US standard billion population. A grand total of 1, 437,180 new cancer cases and a sad grand total deaths from cancer.

::Some insite, Cancer comes in repeating cycle. Cancer seems to have repeating cycles like fads, and baby booms.:: little insite, from my knowledge.

I will now name the top 5 killing cancers for women.

Women. Ladies. I have one in my family who had cancer. This was a scary moment. Luckily, she got out of it and is in remission. So, anyone who has or had cancer, you should know, your not the only one out there. Millions of people are diganoised with many types of cancer. For the family memebers: Support, and Trust. They will need you to say everything is okay. It's your job to support and comfort, in any family, this can be the worse news. Anyone who has lost a family or friend to cancer: You are not the only one, if you need any comforting or help, I provided links at the bottom of the page. These are places that can help you will any questions or help you need. Anyone who has overcame or has remission cancer, you are also another lucky one, you should hold tight your will power, and thank god you're still here. As cancer can be scary its not easy emotionally or physically for anyone. This goes for not only women but men. Not only the seniors but young adults as well. Cancer does not descriminate.

Women. Again.

# 5 Pancreatic: Each year in U.S 42, 470 women are diagnosed. 35, 240 dont make it. Less then 5% of those are still alive after 5 years after digagnosed. In Pancreatic cancers remission is extremely rare. It can be known as the silent killer, as it does not cause symptoms and the symptoms are non-specific and can vary. Sadly, it will not show until it already shows to advance. Some reported symptoms include: Pain in top apart of abdomen, Loss of appetite, and deression.

#4 Ovarian: This cancer is in the tissues of the ovary. This can only be found in women, due to men do not have Ovaries. It starts to grow in the egg cell by the surface of the ovary, or malignant germ cell tumor. In 2004 16,090 women died of ovarian cancer. Symptoms include: Pain in the back or legs, gas, nausea, problems eating, or feeling full quickly, urinary symptoms, pain during sex, abnormal vaginal bleeding, trouble breathing.

#3 Colorectal: Also known as colon cancer. 655,000 deaths in not only the U.S but worldwide. It is the 3rd most common cancer and 2nd leading cause of related deaths. if the tumor is close to the anus, the symptoms are: constipation and diarrhea or a reduction in diameter of stool. If the tumor is higher away from the anus the symptoms: Bright red blood in the stool and change in shape. Also most have a increase in mucus. If the tumor is large, compared to normal, constipation, abdnominal pain, abdominal distension and vomiting. It may also invade other organs, and can cause blood or air in the urine, vaginal discharge.

#2 Breast: Over 200,000 cases of breast cancer were diagnosed in the United States in 2001. About 1 in 8 have a risk of getting breast cancer, and 1 in 28 will die in breast cancer. Women should have a breast exam every 3 years between the ages of 20 and 39. Ladies age 40 and up should have a exam every year. Some signs of BC is a lump or thickening in breast orunderarm. A change in shape or size. Nipple discharge or nipple turning inward. Redness or scaling or nipple or skin. "pitting" of the breast skin. If you have any of these, it may not signify breast cancer, but it should be checked out by a doctor.

#1 Lung: Smoking is the leading cause of Lung Cancer, almost 87% of lung cancer could of been prevented by smoking habits. Their are 4,000 chemicals in cigarette smoke. this is the same for pipes or cigars. It takes years to develop but if you have exposure to a substance, changes in your lungs can happen soon as you are exposed to it. Lung cancer does not cause symptoms. When you do have symptoms, that sometime means it is more advanced. They are repeated chest pains, wheezing, repeated bronchitis, fever, weight loss, coughing up blood or chronic cough.

**I am not a doctor. Do not be alert if you or any one you know has any of these symptoms, please just simply go to the doctor.
